BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi addressed the government saying, ‘You are bowing down to a particular country. All the countries of the world know who to bow down to. When a country applies pressure, it bows down. Khaleda Zia should be released not by the pressure of foreigners, but by the demands of the people of the country.

He said these things in a human chain in front of the National Press Club on Thursday.

The former leaders of Tejgaon University College Chhatra Dal organized the program to demand the release of all the prisoners including the former vice-president of Nationalist Youth Party, SM Jahangir Hossain. Rizvi could not attend the human chain due to traffic jam on his way back from court appearance. Later he joined WhatsApp and gave the speech of the chief guest.

He said, “This government wants to keep young BNP leaders and activists in jail with false cases.” Because another wants to make a one-sided election. Many leaders are on bail, there is a court order to not arrest or harass them. But the government is ignoring the court order.

Rizvi said, “This government does not consider the voices of foreigners as pressure.” The mother of democracy, Khaleda Zia, has been imprisoned for yet another rigged election. So that he can corrupt freely from power. In fact, the Awami League government is afraid and has detained the activists.

He demanded the release of “imprisoned leaders Rafiqul Alam Majnu, Saiful Alam Nirav, SM Jahangir, Golam Mawla Shahin, Azizur Rahman Musabbir and all the activists”.

Under the chairmanship of Fakhrul Islam Rabin, the central vice-president of the Volunteers’ Party, and Abul Mansoor Khan, the former president of the Dhaka Metropolitan North Chhatra Dal, under the direction of Deepak, other speeches were given in the human bandh – BNP Vice Chairman Barkat Ullah Bulu, Central Volunteer Affairs Secretary Mir Sarfat Ali Sapu, Executive Committee Member Tabith Awal, volunteers. The party’s vice-president Yashin Ali and Dr. Jahedul Kabir Zahid, President of Dhaka Metropolitan North Volunteers Party Gazi Rezwanul Haque Riaz, Kamruzzaman Jewel of Jubo Dal, General Secretary of Tejgaon University College Chhatra Dal and others.
