Shamim Ahmad Prakash alias Abdul Qaddus (35), who is under warrant for weapons and robbery case, escaped with police handcuffs while trying to arrest Sunamganj Chhat.

The incident took place in Bhatgaon Union of the upazila on Thursday (June 15) night.

According to police sources, while trying to arrest dacoit Abdul Qaddus of Haidarpur village of Bhatgaon Union of the upazila on Thursday night, he started a scuffle while handcuffing him. At one point, he bit the police and ran away with handcuffs. Later, the handcuff was found, but the police could not arrest Kaddus. A policeman was injured in this incident.

Chatak police station OC Khan said. Mainul Zakir confirmed the truth of the incident and said that Qaddus is the accused accused of multiple weapons and robbery warrants. The operation to arrest this robber is continuing since night.
