BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that Awami League will not get even 10 seats if there is a caretaker government. This is why the general secretary of this party says that caretaker government is a dead issue. But no, caretaker government is a live issue. The whole world wants a free and fair election in Bangladesh.

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the biennial conference of Gazipur Mahanagar BNP held at the community center of Chandana Chowrasta area of Gazipur on Sunday (June 11).

BNP Secretary General said, Awami League is not a people’s party, in fact they are a terrorist group. So they don’t want elections. Their body language says that they are nothing but terrorists. They will be judged on the streets.

Mirza Fakhrul said, We who believe in democracy, we are sure to win their trust. This time no more concessions, rights must be earned through struggle. Democracy will be established through movement. People’s rights must be realized through unity.

Under the chairmanship of Gazipur Metropolitan BNP outgoing committee convener M Manjurul Karim and moderated by member secretary of Metropolitan BNP Shaukat Hossain Sarkar, Dhaka Divisional BNP Organizing Secretary Abdus Salam, Gazipur District BNP President Fazlul Haque Milan, Dhaka Divisional BNP Joint Organizing Secretary Benazir Ahmed, BNP Central Executive Committee member spoke among others. Kazi Saidul Alam, Mayor of Kaliakor Municipality Mojibur Rahman, Mazharul Alam, Central Executive Committee Co-Labour Affairs Secretary Humayun Kabir Khan, District BNP General Secretary Shah Riazul Hannan, Metropolitan BNP former Vice President Mir Halimuzzaman, Metropolitan BNP Joint Secretary Suruj Ahmed and others.

The new committee of Gazipur Metropolitan BNP was announced in the conference. Shaukat Hossain Sarkar became the president and M. Manjurul Karim became the general secretary. Earlier, acting chairman of the party, Tariq Rahman, joined the event from London through a virtual conference and addressed the leaders and workers.
