Ukraine’s forces failed to counterattack: Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Ukrainian forces had launched a counterattack. But the Russian troops are resisting them.
He claimed that the Ukrainian forces suffered heavy losses while breaking the resistance of the Russian troops. They are failing to counterattack.
In this regard, Putin said at an event in Sochi on Friday, we can clearly say that the counterattack has begun. Hints have been made through the use of Ukraine’s significant reserve forces.
He also said, “But the Ukrainian troops could not achieve their goals in any aspect.” We can see the Ukrainian forces suffering heavy casualties.
He also said, “We know attackers lose 3 lives to one—an old custom of war—but in this case their losses exceeded even the old custom.”
Russia claims that Ukrainian troops launched a large-scale attack on Zaporizhzhia in Kherson last Thursday. The country also announced that they would thwart their attack.
Qatar-based Al-Jazeera journalist Jonah Hal said that some photos of the attempted attack of the Ukrainian forces in Zaporizhzhya have been published on social media. They showed Leopard-2 tanks and other armored vehicles sent by Germany. He said these weapons indicated that troops who had been specially trained for the much-anticipated counter-attack took part in it.
