765 hectare afforestation program was officially inaugurated in Bankkhali Forest Range of Cox’s Bazar North Forest Division. On Saturday, Cox’s Bazar (North) Forest Divisional Officer Anwar Hossain Sarkar officially announced its inauguration by planting tree saplings on the hill of Barabil Naraimmachra of Gorznia Union under Ghilatli Bonbit. Range Officer Sarwar Jahan, Journalist Co Operation of Bangladesh (Cox’s Bazar District) Chairperson SM Humayun Kabir, Ghilatli Bonbit Officer Anwar Hossain, concerned forest officers and employees were present at this time. Anwar Hossain government said that 765 hectares will be afforested under this project during the current monsoon season. In this, 19 lakh 12 thousand five hundred different species of tree saplings will be planted.
