Two teenage girls from a small population were studying with the dream of a government job. But due to scarcity, two stars ended their education in the middle. Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun raised the hope of fulfilling their dreams after listening to their dream stories. He has admitted two students to schools and colleges bearing all expenses, starting with new school dresses.
On Friday, Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun visited Julekha Pan-Punji of Sindurkhan Union of Srimangal Upazila and met two dropout students from low-income families.
After talking, you can know that a person studied up to 5th standard and stopped his studies due to lack of education. The well-spoken Baisakhi Suchen Janay, studied and dreamed of becoming a government school teacher. He ended his studies due to financial hardship.
Khushi Khangliam, another student from a small minority who dropped out, said that her dream was to become established by studying. The desire was to take care of the family by doing government jobs. He also enrolled in college with hope. Once upon a time, education ended due to lack of education. Hearing these stories from the two students who dropped out, Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun came forward to realize their dream.
He admitted Baisakhi Suchen to Srimangal Udayan Girls’ High School and Khushi Khangliam to Srimangal Darika Pal Mahila College in the first year. He bears all expenses including their school-college dress, books, notebooks and pens.
Appreciating such a great initiative, the families of the two students expressed their thanks and gratitude to Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun said, we respect their wishes and dreams. Today’s Baisakhi and Khushi are surely the builders of our Smart Bangladesh. Their education started again with the initiative of the upazila administration. Baisakhi Suchen is now a 1st year student of Udayan Girls High School and Khushi Khangliam Dwarikapal Women’s College. It is our hope that one day another person’s dream will see the light of hope through their initiative.
