Burnt in fire on oil tanker 6

An oil tanker caught fire in Rupganj of Narayanganj. 6 workers on board were burnt. The fire incident occurred in the Shitalakshya river in Darikandi area of the upazila around 2.30 am on Sunday.
The six people who were burnt in the fire were admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a coma. Mahbubur Rahman, in-charge of Ishapura Naval Police outpost, confirmed the matter.
He said that an oil tanker named Shanghai suddenly caught fire at Shitalakshya river in Darikandi area of Murapara union of Rupganj upazila around 2.30 am. At this time, the flames rose 20 to 30 feet. At that time, all the workers on board were burnt. Later, the burnt workers were immediately admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College.
On receiving the information, the personnel of Kanchan Fire Service came and extinguished the fire of the ship. Akbar Ali, the manager of the Shanghai ship, has been absconding since the incident.
