In Madhavpur upazila pickup van hit. Farid Mia (40) a pedestrian was killed.

The accident happened on Saturday (June 3) at 9:30 in the morning at Kausarnagar area of the upazila on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway.

The deceased Farid Mia is the son of deceased Golam Azam Talukdar of Joywardhanpara of Kamarkhand upazila of Sirajganj district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shaestaganj Highway Police Station Moinul Islam Bhuia said that Farid Mia died on the spot when a Sylhet-bound pickup van hit him on the sidewalk of the highway in the morning. The highway police seized the pickup van involved in the accident.
