A person (45) died after being hit by a train at Naldanga railway station in Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha. This incident happened yesterday Thursday (June 1) around 11:30 am.

The name of the deceased person is Phul Mia. He is a resident of Nayarhat village of Sarbananda in Sundarganj upazila.

Gaibandhar Bonarpara Railway (GRP) police station officer-in-charge (OC) Jahangir Alam confirmed the accident.

Locals said that at that time, a train named Lalmoni Express, which left Lalmonirhat, reached Naldanga station. At that time, a stranger who was on the side of the line was hit by the train and died on the spot. The deceased is wearing a lungi and a shirt.
