From morning to afternoon on Wednesday, raids were conducted in Kaya and Shilaidah areas of Kumarkhali upazila of Kushtia district. Banned current nets & China double nets were seized and destroyed from across the Padma river. Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Mahmudul Hasan conducted the expedition. After the operation, he said that any aquatic animal, from small to large, cannot come out once it enters the China Duari net. As a result, all types of aquatic animals, including native species of rivers, canals and reservoirs, have become extinct. The new arrival in the market is more dangerous than the China double net current net. Therefore, to protect the environment and fish biodiversity from being destroyed, the Chinese government has banned nets. After receiving this information from secret news, he conducted a raid. These harmful nets worth an estimated 1 lakh 50 thousand taka were seized and destroyed by fire in front of the public. Kumarkhali police assisted in the operation.
