In Ramu, Cox’s Bazar, a social service office organized financial donation among those suffering from critical diseases and distribution of protection kits among volunteer security workers. Cox’s Bazar 3 Member of Parliament and Member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Information Alhaj Saimum Sarwar Kamal MP spoke as the chief guest at the meeting held yesterday at the Upazila Parishad hall. Ramu Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) presided over it. Ramu Upazila Social Service Officer Al Ghalib gave a welcome speech. Cox’s Bazar District Social Services Deputy Director Hasan Masud Mitu, District Social Services Assistant Director Abul Kashem, Ramu Press Club President Nitish Barua, Freedom Fighter Babu Randhir Barua, Kachhpia Union Parishad Chairman Abu Ismail Noman, Gorznia Union Parishad Chairman Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury Babul, Chakmar Kul Union Parishad Chairman Nurul Islam Sikder, Eidgarh Union Parishad Chairman Feroze Ahmad Bhutto, Fatekharkul Union Parishad Chairman Sirajul Islam Bhutto, Rashid Nagar Union Parishad Chairman Shah Alam, Jowarianala Union Parishad Chairman Kamal Sumshuddin Prince, Rajarkul Union Parishad Chairman Mofizur Rahman, Kawarkhop Union Parishad Chairman Samshul Alam spoke as special guests. MP Saimum Sarwar Kamal said, ‘The current government is working tirelessly to build a smart Bangladesh. By taking various measures for the welfare of the helpless and poor people, the government is delivering the civic services to the doorsteps of the people.’ It is to be noted that under the Ramu Upazila Social Services Office, a check of fifty thousand taka was distributed to 26 poor and helpless patients suffering from complex diseases. At the same time, protection kits were distributed among 41 ward volunteer protection workers of the Child Protection Committee in three unions under the CSPB project.
