A tea worker committed suicide by hanging himself in Chunarughat

A tea worker named Dilip Bhowmik committed suicide by hanging himself in Chunarughat of Habiganj district. The incident took place in Chanpur village of Deorgach Yumion of the upazila on Monday.
Dilip Bhowmik (50) is the son of Madan Bhowmik of the area. He worked as a laborer in a tea garden in Chanpur. Chairman of Deorgach Union Parishad (UP) Muhitur Rahman Rumon confirms the matter.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chunarughat Police Station Rashedul Haque said, “Dilip Bhowmik closed the door of the house in the evening without anyone noticing. At 10:00 pm, the family called out but there was no response. Later he broke the door and found that he had committed suicide by hanging himself. On receiving the information, the police visited the police station at around 11:00 PM, Golam Mostafa recovered the body and sent the body to Habiganj Sadar Modern Hospital for post-mortem.
