On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman receiving the Julio Curie Peace Medal, a discussion meeting, prize distribution and cultural programs were held at Kumarkhali in Kushtia. The Upazila Officers Club program was organized on Sunday morning by the upazila administration. During the discussion under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Bitan Kumar Mandal, the chief guest was the Member of Parliament of 78 Kushtia-4 (Khoksa-Kumarkhali) Constituency, Barrister Salim Altaf George. Besides, Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Kumarkhali, Md. Amirul Arafat, Heroic freedom fighters, public representatives, teachers, students, journalists and well-wishers were also present. Upazila Social Service Officer Mohammad ALi conducted the ceremony.
