“Government is running the country on people’s chest by stepping on blood”

BNP Standing Committee member Begum Selima Rahman said that the people do not want to see another election under Sheikh Hasina. The 10-phase election has now become a single phase under the neutral government. The fake government will be overthrown through united movement and the people’s government will be established through voting.

He said that the government is running the country on the blood of the people. BNP is trying to stay in power again by relying on the police and the administration by keeping them prisoner with false disappearance cases in the name of the leaders and workers. The people will not allow their attempt to happen this time.

He said that the government’s ministers and MPs have defiled the country by smuggling crores of rupees. The poor have become poorer, the upper middle class and the middle class lower class. There is plenty of produce including vegetables in the market but people cannot afford to buy it – that is famine.

He said these things while addressing a peaceful rally organized by Gazipur District and Metropolitan BNP as part of the central program on Saturday afternoon.
