We will resist those who obstruct the elections: Obaidul Quader

General Secretary of Awami League and Minister of Roads, Transport and Bridges Obaidul Quader said, “We want elections.” We will definitely resist those who obstruct this election. Those who set fire to buses, vandalize buses in the name of agitation. They are the ones in violence. So they have news.
Obaidul Quader said, “I will hold the next election in a peaceful environment, a free and fair election.” We want elections. As a government, we will cooperate with the Election Commission for a fair and free election. I will do all kinds of cooperation.
On Thursday, Obaidul Quader paid tribute to the poet on his birthday at the mausoleum of national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam adjacent to the central mosque of Dhaka University (DU). Then he said these things in response to a question from journalists.
Kader says about the poet Nazrul, “Nazrul is a poet of love, rebellion and pain.” His wanderings in all branches of literature. He is a poet of secularism and humanity. We want to be inspired by Nazrul’s non-sectarian spirit. There are still many obstacles. We will fight to build a non-communal Bangladesh under the leadership of the honorable Prime Minister. That is our commitment today.
Obaidul Quader said, “The greatest memory of our life is the liberation war of 1971. Nazrul is associated with our movement, liberation war, freedom and our ideals.
The 124th birth anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam is being celebrated with due dignity at the National Poet’s Mausoleum under the motto ‘Agniveena Centenary: Bangabandhu’s Spirit. DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. gathered at the foot of invincible Bengal Md. Under the leadership of Akhtaruzzaman, teachers, students, officers and employees of the university took a procession to the tomb, laid wreaths and recited Fateha.
Apart from this, various political, social and cultural institutions paid tribute with flowers.
