Memorandum of the Sunamganj District BCUTA with the Prime Minister

Bangladesh College-University Teachers Association (BCUTA) Sunamganj district branch has issued a memorandum to the Prime Minister.  At 10 am on Thursday, a memorandum containing 11-point demands was presented to the Prime Minister through the Deputy Commissioner as part of the central programme. Present during the handing over of the memorandum – BCUTA Sunamganj District President Assistant Professor Shubhankar Talukdar Manna, Senior Vice President Assistant Professor Ramanuj Roy, General Secretary Acting Principal  Md.  Jamal Hossain, Associate General Secretary Lecturer Shahina Chowdhury Ruby, Organizing Secretary Lecturer Dulal Mia, Finance Editor Lecturer Kanchan Baidya and Publicity and Publication Editor Lecturer Rajat Kanti Roy, Member Lecturers Himadri Shankar Talukder and Swapan Roy etc. Claims: 1.  Nationalization of the education system, not fragmented govt. 2.  To provide 100% festival allowance, house rent and medical allowance to MPO teachers and employees like government teachers-employees. 3.  Abolishing the post of Senior Lecturer in Higher Secondary Schools and Colleges and Higher Secondary Colleges and introducing the post of Government Professors as before. 4.  MPO of the teachers appointed at honours  and masters level in private colleges including teachers and employees working in private educational institutions. 5. To provide retirement (pension) benefits for retired teachers and employees of private educational institutions like government teachers and employees, but until this provision is made, payment of money to welfare trust and retirement fund within three months of retirement. 6.  According to the recommendations of UNESCO, increasing the allocation in the national budget for the education sector.
7.  To implement the National Education Policy of 2010 and in the light of this to create the posts of Associate Professors and Professors in private colleges. 8.  Proportionate posting of private teachers in education administration. 9.  From the year 2018, the teachers and employees of the last official educational institutions should be posted and paid salaries and allowances immediately. 10.  Recruitment to the posts of Principal and Vice Principal on the basis of previous experience. 11.  Not to appoint any teacher from the government educational institution to the post of head of the private educational institution. Realizing the importance of the demands, the Prime Minister is requested to take positive steps to improve the quality of education in the country and reduce the suffering of private teachers and employees.
