A youth named Santosh Sarkar (33) was electrocuted by a worker of Rohi Water Company engaged in water supply in Madhavpur of Habiganj. The incident took place in Durgapur village of Andiura union of the upazila on Tuesday morning. The deceased Santosh Sarkar is the son of Kulendra Sarkar of that village. He worked as a water supplier.

According to a local UP member, Santosh Sarkar goes to work in the morning at Tapan Sarkar’s Rohi water supply company like every day. He suddenly got electrocuted and died.

According to police sources, he was engaged in water supply. He used to supply water with battery-powered auto-rickshaws (Tom Toms). On Monday night, he charged the TomTom battery. The next Tuesday morning, while opening the charger, he was electrocuted and died instantly.

Police Station OC Mohammad Abdur Razzak confirmed the truth and said that police station SI Samsul Alam went to the spot and recovered the body. The process of post mortem is going on. The family of the deceased requested to take the body without investigation.
