On Friday (May 26),the Opening Ceremony Will Be Held Of Bandarban Football Players Association Gold Cup Football Tournament.The inauguration of this tournament will be held at the traditional King’s ground with grand arrangements.A total of 8 teams including 6 local teams are participating in this tournament.The players of Chakaria XI will face Lohagara XI in the opening game on May 26. Bandarban Hill District Council Chairman Kyashihla will be present as the chief guest in the inaugural function.Deputy Commissioner Of Bandarban Yasmin Parvin Tibriji and Superintendent of Police Tariqul Islam,PPM will be present as special guests.It is known that after a long break due to covid,the district football players association organized this football tournament at the traditional king’s ground. Bandarban’s players/officials/coaches/ referees and team members are busy with the overall organization of the tournament including the field preparation around this knockout tournament.Former footballer M. Rafiqul Alam is serving as the convener of the tournament management committee. He said,the tournament champion team will be given an attractive trophy for Each with prize money of 50 thousand taka and the runner-up team will be given a prize money of 30 thousand taka. He also mentioned that the games will be held in nine sets.Also the best player, best goal keeper,disciplined team will get attractive prizes.To make the tournament a success, the ground preparation including the layout of the field is already underway. He also sought everyone’s cooperation for the successful completion of the tournament.
