The driver named Kamrul Islam (22) was killed when a stone-laden tractor overturned in Sadullapur, Gaibandha.

The incident took place at Dakshin Hatbamuni village of Kamarpara union of the upazila around 2.30 pm on Sunday (21 May).

The deceased is the son of Atwar Rahman of Chak Gobindpur village of Faridpur union of Kamrul Islam upazila.

Locals said, at that time, he was going to No. 1 South Hatbamuni Government Primary School with a tractor from Jalladur Junction in Jamudanga. In the meantime, the car overturned and fell into the pond of Sirajul. Meanwhile, the driver Kamrul fell under the car and was killed. Sadullapur fire service personnel and police did rescue work after receiving the information.

Confirming this information, Sadullapur Fire Service in-charge Narayan Chandra Verma and Police Inspector (Investigation) Siddiqur Rahman said that the body of the truck driver named Kamrul Islam has been recovered.
