Tea workers rally was held on the occasion of the historic 20th May “Muluk Chalo movement’s 102 year anniversary and Tea Workers Day” with the slogan “Cha Sramik Oikya Gari, demand for life”.

On Sunday (May 21) in Alinagar union of the upazila, tea workers’ day celebration committee organized in the Alinagar tea garden’s song hall presided over by the vice chairman of the parishad of Kamalganj and tea workers leader Rambhajan Koiri, the chief guest of the assembly was the chief guest of the district council. Michabahar Rahman. Chairman of Kamalganj Upazila Parishad Professor Md. was present as a special guest. Rafiqur Rahman, Mayor of Kamalganj. Jewel Ahmed, Alinagar UP Chairman Niaz Morshed Raju, Manu-Dalai Valley Executive Council President and UP Member Dhana Bauri etc.

Speakers in the rally demanded official recognition of Tea Workers’ Day.
