Government wants to suppress people’s movement with RAB and party thugs: Fakhrul
Dhaka/
Awami League government wants to suppress people’s movement by giving RAB and party thugs. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir termed them as a promise breaking party. He said, we have to realize our own rights, no one from outside will come and fulfill the demands. The current Awami League government is destroying the country’s economy. No election will be fair under Hasina. Of course, everyone must resist unitedly. Otherwise no one would exist.
Fakhrul said these things in the speech of the chief guest at an event at the National Press Club in the capital on Sunday (May 21). JAGPA organized this program on the occasion of the sixth death anniversary of Jatiya Ganotantric Party (JAGPA) founder president late Shafiul Alam Pradhan.
Mirza Fakhrul said Shafiul Alam Pradhan dreamed and fought for a free and equal Bangladesh. But even today that demand has not been implemented. This government is not giving an opportunity to stand tall. Because they sold their heads. We are at a transition period. Now the decision will be whether Bangladesh will be a democratic state, or a dependent and fascist state? A ruling group on one side and the people on the other. The government is facing the people of the country. They want to suppress people’s movement by unjustly giving RAB and party thugs. But when the elections were held in 1996 under the caretaker government, today’s Awami League made many promises. But the Awami League did not fulfill them but moved away from it. They made two fake elections. No voters went to vote in the 2014 election. The dog was in the polling station. Voted in Nishira in 2018 as well. Today this government has destroyed the election. Now the city corporation is being elected, what are they doing there? In this situation, our former elected mayor of Sylhet Ariful Haque Chowdhury announced not to vote.
Under the chairmanship of JAGPA president Khandkar Lutfar Rahman and under the direction of Youth JAGPA president Mir Amir Hossain Amur, Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP convenor Amanullah Aman, South BNP convener Md. Abdus Salam, Jagpa General Secretary SM Shahadat Hossain, Presidium Member Khandaker Abidur Rahman, ASM Mejbahuddin, Principal Humayun Kabir, Joint Secretary Dr. Awlad Hossain Shilpi, Saiful Alam, NPP Advocate Fariduzzaman Farhad, Mostafizur Rahman Mostafa, Nabiullah Nabi Chowdhury, Kazi Moniruzzaman Monir of Tanti Dal and others.
