The court granted a one-day remand to singer Mainul Ahsan Noble, who was arrested in a fraud case. The police will keep him in custody and interrogate him to know about not going to sing even with money.

Police sent the singer to Dhaka court after arresting him in a fraud case on Saturday. Keeping him in remand for three days, the investigating officer of the case, Inspector Humayun Kabir, asked for interrogation. On the other hand, Nobel’s lawyer applied for bail.

After the hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ahmed Humayun Kabir rejected Kabir’s bail application and ordered Nobel’s remand for one day.

Shah Alam, general registration officer of the concerned court police, said that Noble was normal in Kathgara. He did not speak during the hearing.

A case was filed against Noble in Dhaka’s Motijheel police station on Friday for embezzling about two and a quarter lakh taka for singing at a function in Shariatpur. According to the police, a person named Safayet Islam filed the case at Motijheel police station.

Deputy Commissioner of Lalbagh Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Detective Mashiur Rahman said that Noble was arrested in that case on Saturday morning.

According to the case, the organizers made a contract of Tk 1 lakh 75 thousand with Nobel to sing in the reunion ceremony of the SSC 2016 batch of Shariatpur Vedarganj Headquarters High School held on April 28. Nobel was also given 1 lakh 72 thousand rupees in several rounds. But he did not go to the event, which made the organizers uncomfortable.

In 2019, Noble came third in India’s Zee-Bangla TV reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. However, the controversy about him is also increasing in various activities.
