A mobile court fined a person Rs 50,000 for illegally extracting sand in Srimangal, Moulvibazar.

On Friday (May 19) afternoon, on the instructions of Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun, the mobile court conducted a mobile court in Bhunbir Chaumuhani of Bhunbir Union of the upazila and imposed a fine of 50 thousand rupees on a person named Malek for the crime of extracting sand illegally.
Assistant Director (ACland) and Executive Magistrate Sandhip Talukder said, according to the Sand Mahal and Soil Management Act 2010, a fine of 50 thousand taba has been paid to the sand trader Malek for the crime of extracting sand illegally. A team of Srimangal Thana Police assisted the mobile court. The Assistant Commissioner said that the upazila administration’s operation against illegal sand extraction will continue.
