EC sought cooperation from law and order forces for fair elections

Election Commission (EC) Secretary Md. has asked for full cooperation from law and order forces and related parties for fair elections. Jahangir Alam.
He said that the EC has called for full cooperation to the law enforcement agencies and related parties for fair elections. They assured the EC of full cooperation for fair and peaceful elections.
He said this after a meeting with law and order forces at the Agargaon election building in the capital on Thursday.
The EC secretary said that the EC has repeatedly said that if any person related to the election, including the law and order forces, does anything contrary to the laws and regulations of the election, the EC requests to take legal action against them. The appointing authority has been asked to take action against those found guilty in the Gaibandha election. Action has already been taken against many. Those whose matters are still under process, have been asked to expedite the matter.
He said, if additional members of law and order forces are required, they have sought approval. The EC agreed. They have observed from the field that there is no fear of any major sabotage or deterioration of the law and order situation regarding the five city elections.
