Dhaka/
Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has claimed that Ziaur Rahman has been made an accused in the murder case of Martyr Colonel Khandaker Nazmul Huda on the orders of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to mislead the people.
He claimed this in a human chain held in front of the National Press Club on Friday. BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and former Jubo Dal president Saiful Alam Nirav organized this human chain to demand the unconditional release of imprisoned leaders and activists.
Rizvi said that Sheikh Hasina and her government are now in a deep state. This is their attempt to divert people’s attention from this sinking situation.
He said, freedom fighter Colonel Nazmul Huda’s daughter has not read her mother’s (Neelofar Huda) book (‘Colonel Huda and my war’). There he clearly said – Ziaur Rahman ordered Colonel Nawazis to protect Khaled Musharraf and Colonel Huda. He filed a case against the words of Sheikh Hasina by ignoring the book written by his mother. His mother clearly wrote who is involved in this incident. Sheikh Hasina’s affinity with those who were involved. So there was no case against them. And the person who asked them to provide protection is filing a case in the name of Ziaur Rahman.
Rizvi said that the reason for Sheikh Hasina’s contempt for the freedom fighters is that her family has no contribution in the liberation war. Neither she nor her husband went to the liberation war, nor did her family contribute much to the liberation war. So he insulted the freedom fighters. Even if they are martyrs, even if they die, it is the work of the current head of government to indulge in Kalima in various ways. That’s what he did. This is how he is illegally in power for 14 years.
If you give money, take it but vote for your favorite candidate – BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General said that the head of a constitutional institution cannot say this. CEC is inspired by the spirit of Awami, looting and corruption. He spoke in favor of black money. Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal should resign for these immoral words.
Condemning the 24-hour ‘lockup’ of Saiful Alam, the former president of Juba Dal, Rizvi demanded the immediate release of the jailed leaders including him.
Under the chairmanship of Fakhrul Islam Rabin, the vice-president of the Nationalist Volunteers Party, the leaders of BNP’s Mir Sarafat Ali Sapu, Abdul Khalek, Juba Dal’s Shafiqul Islam Milton, Mahila Dal’s Helen Zerin Khan and other leaders of various affiliated organizations gave speeches.
