Jain king arrested for stealing gold ornaments

Police have arrested a member of the Badsha Chakra of a Jin in Gobindganj Upazila of Gaibandha. Saddam Ali (29), a member of Badsha Chakra of that jinn, stole 1 lakh 80 thousand taka and 2 loads of gold ornaments by telling a woman named Akalima Begum (33) to get hidden treasure.
Police Superintendent Kamal Hossain gave this information through a press briefing at Gaibandha Police Superintendent’s office on Thursday (May 11).

Superintendent of Police Kamal Hossain said that last (April 8) Akalima Begum of Moruadah (Sonaler Para) village of Chaparhati Union of Sundarganj Upazila was told some mysterious things on her mobile phone. He is said to have found the treasure. A total of 1 lakh 80 thousand rupees and a gold chain and two pairs of bangles were taken from Akalima at different times. Following this complaint, a team of police identified Saddam Ali using information technology.
At one stage of this, Saddam Ali was arrested from Char area of Gobindpur Naldanga area of Darbast Union of Gobindganj Upazila on Wednesday (May 11) night.
The Superintendent of Police also said that Saddam Ali was arrested along with 2 bangles and 12 thousand takas of gold, 5 mobile phones, 19 SIM cards were seized among the gold ornaments embezzled from him. A case was filed in Sundarganj police station in this incident.
