A college student named Rezan Ali died in a head-on collision between a CNG-driven auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle in Silam area under Mogalabazar police station in South Surma upazila of Sylhet.

The incident happened on Thursday (May 11) around 3:30 pm near Seelam Bazar on Sylhet-Sultan road.

The death was confirmed by the officer in charge of Moglabazar police station (OC) S. M Main Uddin.

He said – after the accident, injured Rezan was rescued and taken to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital. Rezan died later in the evening while undergoing treatment in the ICU there. Details of the incident are not yet available.

According to local sources, Rezan Ali is a resident of Jalalpur area under Moglabazar Police Station and he is a student of Jalalpur Degree College.
