College student committed suicide by jumping under the train

A college student named Ripa Akhtar (18) committed suicide by jumping under the train at Bahubal in Habiganj. But the family claims that he was mentally ill. The incident took place on the railway line near the Satiyajuri railway station of the upazila at around 2:30 on Wednesday (May 10).
The college student is the daughter of deceased Kudrat Ali of Ramjivanpur village of Mirpur union of Bahubal upazila. He is a HSC first year student of Alif Sobhan Chowdhury Government College.
Locals said that when the Dhaka-bound Jayantika Railway Express from Sylhet reached Satyajuri area, Ripa jumped under the train. His body was injured and he died instantly. It is believed that he did this out of pride.
Rubel Mia, a local resident, said that he was returning home after finishing his college classes at the time of the incident. He jumps under the train with a book bag in his college dress.
Ripper’s family hastily packed his battered body into sacks and took his body home.
Ripper’s cousin, Fazal Mia, said that he was mentally ill and used to get hotheaded at times. Local UP member Kadduch Ali spoke in the same tone.
Badsha Alam, in-charge of Shaestaganj railway station police outpost, said that I have not received news of such an incident but heard it through journalists. It is believed that the incident may have taken place during the Dhaka-bound Jayantika train.
