Chimbuk Mountain is Crying for Water: Stood Next The Deputy Commissioner

Due to non-rainfall and other man-made reasons,severe water shortage has occurred in various neighborhoods of Chimbuk Hills.For the last few days,News about this has been published in the newspapers.In this context,the matter came to the notice of the Deputy Commissioner of Bandarban Yasmin Parvin Tibriji.Later,She identified the areas mentioned in the news and took the initiative to distribute fresh water. As a part of this last Thursday and Friday under the general direction of Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parvin Tibriji clean drinking water was distributed among the public in Getshimani Para,Menlung Para and Pabla Hedman Para.Nezarat Deputy Collector (NDC) of District Administration Office Sheikh Abdullah Al Mamun was present on the occasion.Mr.Mamun said, that in the last two days, about six hundred families have received 12,000 liters of fresh water. On the second day of water distribution, clean water was also given to 95 Praimary students of Empu Para Government Primary School.NDC (Bandarban) also said that,until the adverse situation ends,Deputy Commissioner Yasmin Parvin Tibriji has given instructions to continue the initiative of supplying clean water to these areas. Mayor of Bandarban Municipality Saurabh Das Shekhar is said to be giving full support to this great initiative.Incidentally, every year during the summer there is a water crisis in various parts of the hill including Chimbuk.Environmentalists say that a coordinated long-term Master plan is necessary to resolve this crisis of fresh water in the mountains.
