The police recovered the body of a young man named Shahjahan Mia (28) from Chunarughat road in Habiganj. His body was recovered from Pakuria area of Chunarughat municipality last Monday evening.

Police and locals believe that the young man died in a road accident.

The deceased Shahjahan is the son of Abdur Rashid of Kachua village of Deorgach union of Chunarughat upazila.

Rashedul Haque, OC of Chunarughat police station, said that in the evening local people saw Shahjahan’s bloody body lying on the road in Pakuria area. His used motorcycle was lying next to the body. Besides, another motorcycle rider named Khairul Islam Jarnel was rescued from there with injuries and sent to the hospital.

Quoting the locals, the OC said that the initial assumption is that Shahjahan was killed and his companion was injured in a road accident. The police are investigating this.
