2 people were killed in separate road accidents in Bahubal and Ajmiriganj upazilas. These accidents happened on Sunday (April 30) morning and afternoon. It is known that on Sunday morning, a CNG-powered autorickshaw driver named Elaich Mia was killed in a car accident at Bahubal in Habiganj on the Sylhet-Dhaka highway. The deceased is the son of Jalal Mia of Bashina village of Elaich Mia upazila.

Bahubal Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rakibul Islam Khan said that Elaich Mia was a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw driver by profession. In the morning he left home to fetch his autorickshaw from the garage in Mirpur. He died on the spot when an unidentified car hit him while standing near the bus stand in Bashina area.

On the other hand, a young man named Aminur Mia died on the spot when a trolley hit a paddy threshing mill in Shibpasha village of Ajmiriganj upazila on Sunday afternoon. He is the son of Mafu Mia of that village. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ajmiriganj Police Station. Masuk Ali confirmed this.
