On the occasion of Great May Day and International Workers’ Day, tea workers labor rally and rally was held with the tea workers of different plantations of Srimangal Upazila.

On Monday (May 1) at noon, the tea workers labor mass rally was held at the Zilla Parishad Auditorium.

Chairman of Rajghat Union Parishad and Vice President of Upazila Awami League Babu Bijay Bunarji and moderated by former President of Srimangal Upazila Chhatra League Mominul Hossain Sohel attended the rally as the chief guest. Md. Abdus Shaheed. Upazila Parishad Chairman Bhanu Lal Roy, Upazila Executive Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun, Upazila Awami League President Ardhendu Kumar Deb, Acting General Secretary Jagatjyoti Dhar Shubhra were present as special guests.
Also present in the rally were Jahangir Hossain Sardar, officer-in-charge of Srimangal police station, Upazila Awami League joint general secretary Enam Hossain Chowdhury Mamun, organizing secretary Belayet Hossain, Chalik Ahmed, publicity secretary Debanshu Sen, Upazila Awami League information research editor Tahirul Islam Milon, Upazila Awami League Education. And Human Resources Secretary Dr. Sanjit Sen Roy etc. Leaders of different levels of Awami League, leaders of tea workers and people of different professions participated in the rally. At the end of the rally, a huge rally with the workers of various tea gardens went out and circled the various roads of the city.
