The road leading to Srimangal Upazila Health Complex of Moulvibazar and 12 tea gardens and several important offices is in poor condition. Due to potholes on the road, sick patients and commuters are suffering. Even though the road has been tendered for renovation, the public has suffered due to negligence of the contractor.
It is known that the road adjacent to Srimangal BGB headquarters and hospital is located between Rajghat and Ashidron Union of the upazila. One has to go to some important government and private offices along with upazila health complex along with 12 tea gardens through the road. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ali Rajib Mahmud Mithun told CNBangladesh that he is aware of the matter, but he has tried to contact the contractor who got the road repair work many times but failed. He was not found even by sending people to his house. He also said that he has instructed Aceland to cancel the contractor’s licenses and get the work done quickly by another contractor.
