In the name of entertainment in Habiganj and Shaistaganj, there have been complaints that extortionate money is being collected from several parks. Besides, school-college students are also doing various anti-social activities in these parks. By this, on the one hand, the society is being destroyed and on the other hand, the parents are in trouble.

It is known that a park has been constructed in the name of entertainment in Rangergaon village of Sadar Upazila. It was inaugurated before Eid. Apart from this, two entertainment centers named Swapnachura and Rupaktha Cafe in Lenjapara area were opened in Driver Bazar of Shaistaganj municipal area. But a different picture was seen on the ground. These parks do not have any valid documents. No authority permission. They are conducting business only with trade license. Inside there is a motorcycle and a car for children’s entertainment. Apart from this, a house like a pigeon coop is being provided to the lovers. They sit there for hours skipping school and college. The two entrance fees of Shaistaganj are 20 taka, the others have to pay 50 taka for 5 minutes. The entrance fee to the recreation center located in Rangergaon is Tk 95, and any ride inside is Tk 50 per 5 minutes. Many parents said that they are extorting huge amounts of money by coming to these entertainment centers. Sometimes they are victims of misconduct by the authorities. Since Eid, these entertainment centers were overcrowded. Even Nagar Dola and boating accidents happen.

Arbitrary authorities collected Rs. Talking to many people, it is known that they are running only with trade license. But in order to park these entertainment centers, the permission of various authorities including the Deputy Commissioner, Environment Department is required. But it was not taken. Many say that permission has been applied for. Yet parks have been set up for the amusement of children. Even at the entrance of the gate it is written that no student will be allowed to enter with dress during school-college. But these are not taken into account. The parents are seeking the administration’s intervention in this matter.
