International Sound Awareness Day-2023 was celebrated in Bandarban with various events.On the occasion of the day,The day was observed through colorful rallies, human bonding and discussion meetings under the integrated and partnership project to control noise pollution.On the occasion of International Noise Awareness Day on Wednesday (April 26),these programs were organized by the Department of Environment,Bandarban office.At the beginning of the day, a human chain was held in Bomang King Field area.Students of various educational institutions participated in it.

At The Time awareness stickers are attached to various vehicles to discourage noise pollution and create awareness among the public Also.A discussion meeting was held at Bandarban Government High School on the occasion of the day.Bandarban civil surgeon Dr.Nihar Ranjan Nandi was present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting.Assistant Director,Department of Environment, Bandarban Office Md.Fakhar Uddin Chowdhury Presided over the discussion meeting.

Senior Consultant of Bandarban Sadar Hospital Dr.Dipankar Tanchangya,Acting Principal of Bandarban Government High School Dipti Kona Dey,Traffic Inspector Md. Farhaduzzaman,Inspector (Department of Environment) Md.Abdus Salam,Teacher Sampad Barua Was Present At The Meeting.During the discussion Meeting,the speakers said that noise pollution has turned into a disease.Excessive hydraulic horns are being played by various vehicles plying on the road.In any event,the microphone is being played loudly and crackers are being burst.

which creates loud noise and is damaging the environment.Damage is the hearing sense of the elderly and young children.It reduces hearing power.Meanwhile, the speakers urged everyone to be aware to prevent noise pollution.It Should Be Mentioned,This year the main theme of the day is “Safe Hearing-Safe Life”.
