Awami League is burning people’s dreams and aspirations: Fakhrul
Dhaka/
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Algir has commented that Awami League played a positive role in the war of independence, and democracy has been ruined today by them. He said that they are turning the state into a ‘failed state’ today. On the one hand they are setting fire to the market, on the other hand they are setting fire to the dreams and aspirations of the people. There is only one way out of this, united movement. This terrible monster government should be removed and a democratic government should be established by involving the people.
On Monday (April 17) afternoon, he said these things while participating in an iftar party organized by a hotel democracy stage in the capital’s Shanti Nagar. BNP’s Nazrul Islam Khan, Dr. Jonaid Saki, presided over by Jonaid Saki, the chief coordinator of the Mass Solidarity Movement and the leader of the Democracy Forum. Abdul Moin Khan, Barkat Ullah Bulu, Shama Obaid, Syed Imran Saleh Prince, Zaheer Uddin Swapan, Engineer Ishraq Hossain, Jatiya Party Chairman Mustafa Jamal Haider, Kalyan Party General (Retd) Syed Muhammad Ibrahim Bir Prateek, Jatiya Democratic Party (JAGPA) Lutfar Rahman, National People’s Party (NPP) Fariduzzaman Farhad, Jatiya Dal’s Ehsanul Huda, Gano Forum’s Mustafa Mohsin Montu, Alternative Dharam’s Nurul Amin Bepari, Gana Dal’s ATM Golam Mawla Chowdhury.
Apart from this, JSD’s ASM Abdur Rab, leader of Democracy Forum, Mahmudur Rahman Manna of Nagrik Oikya, Hasnat Qayyum of State Reform Movement, Reza Kibria of Public Rights Council, Nurul Haque Noor, etc. were present.
Referring to Awami League, he said that they are bankrupt in politics today. They changed the constitution to stay in power. Everyone knows for whom the constitution has been changed. That hope, democracy and suffrage were fought for; Even after 52 years, that democracy and voting rights are still being fought for.
Threatening to build a mass movement in Durbar with the people, the Secretary General of BNP said, let’s organize the people on the streets to demand 10 points. So that we can remove this government through the movement and give people the right to vote in an election in real sense. We can create an environment of choice where people can choose the representation of their choice. To this end we will wrest victory through Durbar movement.
