Bangladesh national team cricketer Shakib Al Hasan was selected as the ICC Cricketer of the Month for March.

The world’s best all-rounder beat New Zealand’s Kane Williamson and UAE’s Asif Khan to become the best.

Shakib was the highest run and wicket taker in the series against England at home. He scored 75 off 71 balls and took four wickets to win the last match of the series against England.

After the ODI, Shakib was in rhythm in the T20 series as well. He took wickets in all three matches en route to a 3-0 win in the T20I series against England. He scored 34 runs off 24 balls in the first match.

Then he was in rhythm against Ireland. He played a match-winning innings of 93 runs in the beginning. He scored 353 runs and took 15 wickets in 12 matches in March.

Being the best, Shakib said, ‘I am honored to win the award. Thanks to those who voted for me. I feel this award is very special because many people have performed very well in March. If I highlight my performance in the last month, I would say that the T20 series win against England was the best.
