The bamboo pole is broken and lying in the paddy field. Somewhere the pole is leaning. A condition is that will break when the wind comes. Local farmers do farming under this power line which is dangerous with fear of loss of life. The work of supplying electricity to customers is going on for about 6 years. This is the picture of PDB power transmission line from Nayapara to Nimatoli area on Pichdhala rural road in Shalihar village of Mymensingh Gouripur upazila. Local Shahid Mia (60) said that bamboo poles were used in the electricity line from PDB pole near Nayapara Jame Masjid to Nimatoli Bazar area. There are 180 meters in this line. Although this line was laid about 6 years ago, no cement poles have been placed in it till now. He commented that money was demanded in this case when repeated demands were made to the concerned PDB authorities. Upazila resident electricity engineer Abdullah Al Noman said that through the project, the installation and renovation of electricity transmission line poles is going on in this upazila. Most of the poles of the PDB power transmission line in Shalihar area have been installed and renovated. The rest of the vulnerable lines will be rehabilitated through the project.
