Announcement of schedule of 5 city elections of the country, vote in EVM

The Election Commission (EC) has announced the date of polling for five city corporations of the country. Gazipur City Corporation will vote on May 25, Khulna and Barisal City Corporation will vote on June 12 and Rajshahi and Sylhet City Corporation will vote on June 21.
Secretary of the Election Commission (EC) on Monday afternoon. Jahangir Alam gave this information in the election building. He said that Gazipur City Corporation will vote on May 25, Khulna and Barisal City Corporation will vote on June 12 and Rajshahi and Sylhet City Corporation will vote on June 21.
The EC Secretary said that the voting in all cities will be done in Electronic Voting Machines or EVMs.
According to EC sources, the last polling was held on June 27, 2018 in Gazipur City Corporation. Then the first meeting of the elected corporation was held on September 11 of that year. Subsequently, the counting for the General Election starts from March 11, 2023.
Meanwhile, Rajshahi City Corporation held its last election on June 27, 2018. And the last general election of Khulna City was held on July 30, 2018. The first meeting of the elected corporation was held in these two cities on October 11, 2018.
On the other hand, the last election of Sylhet City Corporation was held on July 30, 2018. Then the first meeting of the selected corporation was held on November 7 of that year.
Besides, the last election in Barisal City Corporation was held on July 30, 2018. And the first meeting of the selected corporation was held on November 14 of that year.
