A young man named Hridoy Chhatri (24) tragically died in a road accident in Kulaura, Moulvibazar. At 11:30 am on Saturday, an unidentified vehicle ran over a motorcycle rider in Brahmanbazar Holichara area of Kulaura Upazila, killing him on the spot.

Meanwhile, the shadow of grief has descended on his family due to the untimely death of his only son.

Eyewitnesses said that Trust Bank Sylhet branch officer Hriday Chhatri (24) was on his way to Sylhet from Madhavpur Tea Garden on his motorcycle when an unknown car coming from behind hit the motorcycle rider in Holichara area of Brahmanbazar on Kulaura-Moulvibazar road. Locals saw a body lying on the road and informed the Kulaura Police Station. Kulaura police station recovered the body from the spot and took it to the police station. His family was later identified from his wallet and contacted.

Kulaura police station officer-in-charge Abduch Chalek confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the boy’s family has applied to the district commissioner to take the body without post-mortem. However, a case of death has been registered in Kulaura police station in this incident.
