Taipei has alleged that at least 10 Chinese warplanes crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait. Along with that, the island state claimed that the drone had also infiltrated.

The Guardian reported this with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Taiwan. It said Chinese aircraft have conducted military operations near the island. The autonomous region called it intrusion.

Taiwan’s Defense Ministry said a drone and nine warplanes penetrated the center line of the Taiwan Strait between 6 a.m. local time on Friday. At this time, Taiwan sent warplanes to warn the Chinese planes.

According to the British media, Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense said that China’s actions are a serious threat to the peace and stability of the region.

Incidentally, Chinese warplanes and drones entered the Taiwan Strait when Taiwanese President Tsai-e-wen was on a 10-day visit to Central America.

Taiwan has been claiming it as its sovereign territory. And China claims that the region belongs to mainland China. The United States is supporting Taiwan directly and indirectly by expressing solidarity with its demands. There has been tension between Washington and Beijing for a long time. That excitement was fueled when then-Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, visited the region last year.
