Burnt Japa leader Limon is no more

Jatiya Party leader Tajid Baks Limon (55) is no more after he fell into a pan of hot oil in Sylhet’s Osmaninagar. On Friday morning, he was taken to a private hospital where he died at around 6 pm. He is the son of late Khidir Baks of his native Karansi village of Goalabazar UP upazila and convener of Union Jatiya Party.
It is known that Limon was seriously burnt while making Jilapi on the pavement next to the highway in Goalabazar of the upazila. Later, he was admitted to Osmani Medical College Hospital in Sylhet. When his physical condition deteriorated, he was taken to a private hospital on Friday morning, where he died at around 6 pm.
Ashiq Mia, a former member of Zilla Parishad and Youth Solidarity leader, confirmed the death of Tajid Bax Limon.
According to local sources, on Saturday 24th March around 4:30 p.m., Tajid Bux Limon repaired a watch at Churab Mia’s watch shop next to Elite Confectionery Taste in Goalabazar of the upazila. Limon had an argument with Churab before the Iftar. At one stage, when a fight took place between the two, Limon was burnt in the pan of flavored jelly on the sidewalk. His body was burnt by the oil used to make the jillapi. Later the locals rescued him and sent him to Osmani Medical College Hospital in Sylhet.
