President-Prime Minister’s Tribute at Savar Memorial

On the occasion of Independence Day, the President paid floral tributes to the brave martyrs at Savar Memorial. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
At 5:56 am on Sunday (March 26), the Head of State and the Head of Government paid their respects at the National Memorial in the first hour of the day.
The President first paid his respects at the memorial. Abdul Hamid. Right after the President, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid tribute to the sun children of the nation.
Then they stood there in silence for a minute. At this time a group of armed forces gave the state salute and the bugle sounded a mournful tune.
Later party president Sheikh Hasina paid tribute with flowers on behalf of Awami League as party chief.
After paying his respects, the President signed the visitor’s book of the memorial. Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad, Minister of Liberation War Affairs, Cabinet Secretary, Chief of three armed forces and diplomats of various countries posted in Dhaka were present at the memorial.
After paying tributes to the head of state and government, the memorial is opened for common people to pay their respects.
