Great Independence and National Day 2023 has been celebrated with due dignity through various arrangements at Palashbari in Gaibandha.

On the occasion of the day, the day is started by firing 31 cannons at sunrise, hoisting the national flag, laying wreaths at the memorial pillar of the Liberation War.

Later, the national flag was hoisted formally at Palashbari SM Pilot Government High School ground.

Later, a discussion meeting was held in the open stage after the participation of Bangladesh Police, Ansar VDP, BNCC, village police scouts and students of schools and colleges, physical exercise and parade, sports competition, reception of freedom fighters and war-victims.

Palashbari upazila executive officer Kamruzzaman Nayan presided over the meeting as the chief guest, Palashbari upazila parishad chairman Alhaj AKM Mokched Chowdhury Vidyut.

Among others, Municipal Mayor Public Leader Golam Sarwar Pradhan Biplab, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Anwara Begum, Rafiqul Islam, Police Station Officer-in-Charge Masud Rana, Upazila Awami League President Vice Principal Shamikul Islam Lipon, General Secretary Tauhidul Islam Mondal, Organizing Secretary Mahibul Hasan Mukit, Palashbari Press Club General Secretary Sirajul Islam Ratan along with Reporter Unity, Leaders of Muktijoddha Sangsad.

Leaders of various social, cultural, political and professional organizations were present.
