Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader commented that Mirza Fakhrul has no freedom of expression in the internal politics of BNP.

He said this in a statement signed by Awami League office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua on Friday (March 24) afternoon.

General Secretary of Awami League said, we understand the grief of Mirza Fakhrul Alamgir. In fact, Mirza Fakhrul has no freedom of expression in the internal politics of BNP. From far away London that is sent down or that decision comes. Fakhrul Saheb was forced to accept it.

He said, BNP is run on the prescription of convicted fugitives; Undemocratically and unconstitutionally, committees are formed, expulsions and awards are determined and committees and nominations are traded. BNP Secretary General Fakhrul Saheb has imprisoned the people’s freedom of speech in the same frame by seeing his helpless, helpless and subordinate face in front of the mirror. Therefore, Mirza Fakhrul Saheb like a parrot is engaged in violence against the government. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgi spoke about freedom of expression. Such statement of Mirza Fakhrul is nothing but Ram Ram in the face of ghost. Because BNP has never captured people’s freedom of speech and public opinion. BNP was born through illegal seizure of power by holding the people hostage at gunpoint. On the other hand, the Awami League has always been continuously campaigning for the establishment of the people’s freedom of speech and freedom of expression.

Obaidul Quader said, under the effective leadership of Sheikh Hasina, the freedom of speech, individual and expression of the people of Bangladesh has been consolidated. Unblocked door of expression has been opened through the construction of Digital Bangladesh. The government expanded freedom of expression by registering half a hundred private television stations, FM radio stations, community radio stations and thousands of newspapers. At the same time, the door has been opened to establish freedom of expression through various social media for the welfare of digital Bangladesh. Instead, by misusing this opportunity, BNP leaders including Mirza Fakhrul are constantly lying shamelessly against the government. Not only do they enjoy freedom of speech, but they also do not hesitate to spread false propaganda as per their wish.

Awami League General Secretary said, Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina has been running the government for the welfare of the people, keeping the aspirations and expectations of the masses. All the initiatives of the government are directed not to keep the people silent, but to establish the echo of the hopes and aspirations of the people. But during the BNP era, the people did not have freedom of speech and minimum civil rights. BNP misused the state machinery and established clan system.

He said that during the rule of BNP, innocent people were shot dead for demanding electricity, farmers were shot dead for protesting for fertilisers, workers were shot and killed during the holy month of Ramadan for demanding salary and bonuses, and a horrible situation was created by running steam rollers on the people. The BNP committed horrific massacres like the infernal grenade attack on August 21, 2004 to wipe out the opposition by misusing the state machinery.

The bridge minister said that Awami League has established the state system that can be people-oriented and welfare. Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of Bangabandhu, is constantly struggling to establish a humane Bangladesh. The policy of the government led by Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina is to see power as an opportunity to serve. Due to the continuation of the democratic process, the country’s economy stands on a strong foundation and overall development has been achieved. We are united under the leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Jannetri Sheikh Hasina to establish a developed-prosperous human-welfare smart Bangladesh for the next generation. Victory will be ours.
