The country is in turmoil and the price of everything is terrible: Dudu
Dhaka/
BNP Vice-Chairman and former student leader Shamsuzzaman Dudu said that the country is floating in unrest and there is no peace there if you go to the market today. You will also have to pay the fee to enroll your child in school. You will not be able to take the bus if you go to the street. You can’t face your wife when you go home because you can’t put a smile on the children’s faces, the cost of everything is terrible. To be freed from them, Begum Zia must be freed and Tariq Rahman must be brought back to the country.
He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at a protest meeting organized by former Chhatra Dal leaders at Dhaka Reporters Unity’s Nasrul Hamid Auditorium on Wednesday (March 21) to demand the release of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda and senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
Shamsuzzaman Dudu said that there has been terrible partyization in the country. Police factionalization has taken place. The administration has been partisan. Every professional organization is occupied. The Supreme Court has been occupied, the Judges Court has already been occupied. There is no chance to change the country through elections. The election in 1971 did not change, the country became independent through the liberation war.
This leader of BNP said that many people ask me whether BNP will participate in the next elections. What will BNP do in the election? Did not see the election of the High Court? Isn’t this a gentleman’s place? What happened in the Supreme Court has not happened in any time even during the British period, Pakistan period. The election is not even held in the country’s mosque committee, it has already been taken over.
Acting chairman of the party Tarek Rahman is a worthy leader, Dudu said, Tarek Rahman is the most popular leader of the country. A craze has been created in the name of Tariq Rahman all over Bangladesh. If the situation in the country was normal, he would have been elected by people’s vote from anywhere in the country and become the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. However, the media cannot publish his words, they can only write his name. Because there is a court order.
He said, we have given ten steps to free the country from the occupation of the government. Sheikh Hasina must resign. The Parliament should be dissolved, the Election Commission should be reconstituted.
Former student leader Abul Khair Bhuiyan chaired the protest meeting former student leader BNP special secretary. Asaduzzaman Ripon, Helen Jerin Khan of Women’s Party and others gave speeches.
