Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has commented that when Awami League comes to power, people’s fortunes improve. He said this at the ceremony of handing over the houses and documents of landless people from across the country through video conference from Gana Bhavan today (March 22).

The Prime Minister said that if someone is landless in the calamity, he will also be given a house. The biggest gain is the smile of people who are sad to get a house. The government is working with the goal that no person will be a burden.

The Prime Minister said that no person will remain without an address in the country of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The smile on the face of a miserable person after getting a house is the biggest gain.

He also said that Awami League is the people’s party. This group is on the side of people. Whenever Awami League came to power, it worked to improve the destiny of the people of the country. Our only goal is that no person will remain addressless in the country of Bangabandhu, the father of the nation. We want everyone in the country to have houses.

The Prime Minister said, the father of the nation has given us freedom. He is the one who built cluster villages to give shelter to the landless and homeless. There will be no landless and homeless in the country, we are working towards that goal. I am very happy to give land and houses to 39 thousand 365 families in the fourth phase. The smile on the face of a miserable person after getting a house is the biggest gain.

On this day, the Prime Minister declared Madaripur, Gazipur, Narsingdi, Rajshahi, Jaipurhat, Chapainawabganj and Chuadanga districts landless and homeless free. He also declared 159 upazilas landless and homeless. Last year Magura and Panchagarh districts were declared landless and homeless free.

Prime Minister’s Chief Secretary Tofazzal Hossain Miah conducted it and it was attended by members of the Cabinet, political leaders and government officials and beneficiaries from various places including Ganobhaban.
