Judiciary is working independently: Justice Obaidul Hasan

Justice Obaidul Hasan of the Appellate Division of Bangladesh Supreme Court said, March is a very important month for us. Mahanayaka was born in this month. The country was born in this month. He said, the judiciary is working completely independently. Due to the coordination between lawyers and judges, people are getting appropriate justice on time.
He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the reception of Attorney General AM Amin Uddin, senior lawyer of Habiganj Lawyers’ Association on the occasion of his 50th anniversary in the legal profession and distribution of prizes among lawyers’ meritorious children in the meeting room of District Bar Association on Tuesday afternoon.
District Bar Association President Saleh Uddin Ahmed presided over the program under the chairmanship of General Secretary Abdul Moshabbir Bakul.
Attorney General Abu Mohammad Amin Uddin, District Awami League President Alhaj Advocate Abu Zahir MP, Abdul Majeed Khan MP, District and Sessions Judge Hasanul Islam, Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Harun-ur Rashid and others spoke. Among others, Additional Sessions Judge, Joint Sessions Judge, Senior Associate Judge, Associate Judge, Judicial Magistrate, Senior Advocates were present.
Attorney General Abu Mohammad Amin Uddin said, lawyers try to stand by people. We do that. A justice candidate helps people get justice.
It is not my responsibility to win the case. We present the correct facts in court. It is my responsibility to ensure that the candidate gets a fair trial. We fulfill that responsibility.
