Organized by Srimangal Sadar Union, discussions and cultural programs were held on the occasion of celebrating the great Independence and National Day 23rd with due dignity.

On Tuesday (March 21) afternoon at No. 3 Srimangal (Headquarters) Union Parishad premises, the discussion meeting titled “Historical Leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Development of the Country” chaired by UP Chairman Md. Dudhu Mia was present as the main discussant, Srimangal Upazila Chairman Bhanu Lal Roy, Heroic freedom fighter former freedom fighter commander Kumud Ranjan Dev and deputy commander Moazzem Hossain Chamru. Also present were UP member and panel chairman Mohsin Ahmed, UP member Md. Maruf Mia, Pius Dash, Md. Shafiqul Islam Liton, Women UP Members (Reserved Seats) Maleka Begum, Feroza Begum and Reena Begum, UP Secretary Dijendra Lal Das etc. The discussants discussed the historical leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and various aspects of the country’s development.

A wonderful cultural program was organized under the direction of Kalyan Dev, the headmaster of Srimangal Kharinaura Government Primary School and with the participation of former students of Kharinaura Government Primary School.

It may be noted that Srimangal Upazila Chairman Bhanu Lal Roy and the present Headmaster of Kharyanura Government Primary School Kalyan Dev Jiban are also former students of Kharyanura Government Primary School.
