Middle order batsman Mushfiqur Rahim scored 7000 runs in ODI format as the third batsman of the country. This right-handed batsman took the innings to the century house after a stormy fifty. He picked up the ninth ODI century of his career. He also set the record for fastest ODI century in the country.

Mushfiqur Rahim played a 60-ball 100-run innings in the second ODI of the series in Sylhet against Ireland. He completed the century on the last ball of Bangladesh’s innings. 14 fours and two sixes came from his bat. In that storm, Bangladesh scored their team’s maximum 349 runs for 6 wickets. The Tigers scored a record 338 against the Irish a day earlier.

Mushi broke Shakib’s record of two stormy innings on his way to the fastest century for the country. Shakib, a left-arm spin all-rounder, played a 63-ball 103 against Zimbabwe in 2009. He hit four sixes and eight fours.

Two months after Bulawayo’s innings, Shakib showed another storm against Zimbabwe at Mirpur. He played an innings of 105 runs off 68 balls. He hit 14 fours and three sixes from his bat en route to the innings. This time Mushi broke that record.
